Overview
There are tremendous mixed messages going out from the district about saving art, music, physical education, library media and guidance counseling positions in Broward schools.
Teachers are being told by principals right now that they will not be returning next year, which is a real tradgedy.

Officials say one thing at meetings and principals tell employees a completely different thing virtually every day. Calls and e-mails from employees in art, music, physical education, library media and guidance counselor positions continue to coming in!

Our district's employees and students deserve leaders who can communicate, problem solve and reach smart solutions.

ALL PARENTS, TAXPAYERS, VOTERS AND THEIR CHILDREN ARE ASKED TO RSVP TODAY FOR BTU'S STREET PROTEST! For the last several weeks, we saw what happens when teachers, parents and students gather together and make their voices heard! Please bring at least one fellow member or friend!
THE BATTLE FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS, EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS AND STUDENTS DIDN'T START WITH SENATE BILL 6 AND IT WILL NOT END WITH IT! SENATE BILL 6 WAS TREMENDOUS VICTORY BUT THE FIGHT MUST GO ON!
All parents, taxpayers, voters and their children are urged to attend BTU's next community based STREET PROTEST at 5 to 6 p.m on Wednesday, April 28th outside the Quality Inn Hotel located at 1711 North University Drive in Plantation, which is just south of the Sunrise Boulevard and University Drive intersection across from the Motorola's Headquarters.

Jaemi Leine, Non-Partisan for Broward County School Board, District 4 "I was proud to be at the Save Our Specials Protest! I am shocked at the waste in the district! I am outraged by the suggestion that we cut at the fabric of our children’s education to cut the budget!"
